3. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of information:

3.1 Information you provide directly

  • Name, email address, phone number, company name, and other contact details
  • Messages and content you submit through contact forms, email, or support channels
  • Account registration and profile information for our platforms (including dmcart)
  • Business configuration data such as product catalogues, product aliases, locations, supplier details, and team user accounts
  • Billing and payment-related information when you purchase or subscribe to services (processed via payment providers where applicable)

3.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, operating system, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP
  • Pages visited, referral source, timestamps, and general usage analytics on our website and product dashboards
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 9)

3.3 WhatsApp Business Platform and messaging data

When customers use dmcart or other Techturf WhatsApp automation software, we process additional data as described in Sections 4 and 5 below.

4. Our Product: dmcart

dmcart is a proprietary product of Techturf Technologies, marketed at www.dmcart.uk. It is an AI-powered WhatsApp order automation platform for WhatsApp-first businesses (for example fish & seafood, meat delivery, grocery, fresh produce, and wholesale). dmcart is designed so end customers can keep ordering on WhatsApp while the business receives structured orders, review queues, multi-location dashboards, customer databases, and supplier-ready purchase orders and exports.

In operating dmcart we may process, on behalf of the business customer:

  • WhatsApp messages and media used to place or amend orders
  • Extracted order lines (products, quantities, units), match confidence scores, and review/confirmation status
  • Customer/contact records associated with the business’s WhatsApp conversations
  • Location, delivery-day, catalogue, alias, and supplier configuration set by the business
  • Operational metrics such as order counts, review queues, and demand aggregates used for fulfilment and reporting

dmcart does not require end customers of a business to install a new consumer app; messaging remains on WhatsApp. Low-confidence AI extractions may be held for human review by the business customer before confirmation.

5. WhatsApp Business Platform & Meta Embedded Signup

Through dmcart and related Techturf WhatsApp automation products, customers connect their own WhatsApp Business Account using Meta Embedded Signup and the authorized WhatsApp Business Platform.

We use authorized WhatsApp Business Platform data to:

  • Send and receive messages on behalf of the customer’s connected WhatsApp Business Account
  • Automate customer conversations and order workflows (including AI-assisted extraction and workflows configured by the customer)
  • Process customer orders and related transactional messaging (for example confirmations)
  • Provide messaging analytics, order hubs, and operational insights to the customer

Account control: Each customer controls their own WhatsApp Business Account and can disconnect it from our platform at any time. Disconnecting the account stops further access by Techturf Technologies to that account’s WhatsApp Business Platform data through our integration, subject to any residual processing required for security, legal compliance, or retention of records already generated while the connection was active.

5.1 Types of WhatsApp-related data we may process

When a customer authorizes our platform via Meta Embedded Signup, we may process data such as:

  • WhatsApp Business Account identifiers, phone numbers linked to the business account, and connection status
  • Message content, media, templates, delivery status, timestamps, and conversation metadata
  • Contact or end-user identifiers as made available through the WhatsApp Business Platform APIs (for example WhatsApp phone numbers or IDs of people messaging the business)
  • Order-related details shared in messages or structured order events created by dmcart’s AI and review workflows
  • Analytics aggregates and usage metrics related to messaging volume, order conversion, response performance, and workflow activity

5.2 Roles and responsibilities

  • Our customers (businesses using dmcart or other Techturf platforms) are typically the controllers of personal data relating to their own end customers and contacts. They decide how messaging and order automation are used and are responsible for lawful bases, notices, and consent where required under applicable law (including messaging and marketing rules).
  • Techturf Technologies processes WhatsApp Business Platform data as a service provider / processor on behalf of the customer, to deliver dmcart and related platform features, except where we process data for our own legitimate purposes (for example security, fraud prevention, billing, product improvement in aggregated or de-identified form, or legal compliance).
  • Meta Platforms (including WhatsApp) processes data under Meta’s own terms and privacy policies. Customers and end users should also review Meta’s and WhatsApp’s policies governing the WhatsApp Business Platform.

5.3 How we use WhatsApp Business Platform data

We use authorized WhatsApp Business Platform data only for purposes consistent with the customer’s authorization and this Policy, including to:

  • Operate send/receive messaging, AI order extraction, automation, fulfilment support, and analytics features in dmcart
  • Maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the platform
  • Provide customer support to the business customer
  • Comply with law and enforce our agreements

We do not sell WhatsApp message content or personal data of end users obtained through the WhatsApp Business Platform. We do not use customer WhatsApp data to train public generative AI models for unrelated third parties.

6. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information for purposes including:

  • Providing, operating, and improving our website, products (including dmcart), and services
  • Responding to enquiries and providing customer support
  • Creating and managing accounts, contracts, and service relationships
  • Processing payments and managing subscriptions or invoices
  • Sending service-related notices (for example security alerts or product updates)
  • Marketing our services and products where permitted by law (you may opt out of marketing emails at any time)
  • Analytics, performance monitoring, and product development
  • Detecting, preventing, and addressing fraud, abuse, or security issues
  • Complying with legal obligations and protecting our rights

7. Legal Bases for Processing (where applicable)

Where data protection laws require a legal basis (for example GDPR/UK GDPR), we rely on one or more of the following:

  • Contract — processing necessary to provide services you or your organization have requested
  • Legitimate interests — for example securing our services, improving our products, and responding to business enquiries, balanced against your rights
  • Consent — where required (for example certain cookies or marketing); you may withdraw consent where applicable
  • Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with law

8. How We Share Information

We may share personal information with:

  • Service providers and subprocessors who help us host infrastructure, process payments, provide email/SMS delivery, analytics, customer support tools, or AI infrastructure — under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations
  • Meta / WhatsApp as required to operate WhatsApp Business Platform features that customers authorize for dmcart or related products
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers, accountants, or auditors where necessary
  • Authorities when required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and security
  • Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards

We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website and product interfaces may use cookies and similar technologies to enable core functionality, remember preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide services, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, or regulatory requirements. Retention periods vary by data type and context (for example account data, support tickets, messaging logs, order records in dmcart, and analytics).

When a customer disconnects their WhatsApp Business Account, we stop accessing that account via the integration. Messaging and order data already processed may be retained for a limited period for security, backup, dispute resolution, or legal compliance, and then deleted or anonymized in accordance with our retention practices and any customer agreement.

11. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. Customers remain responsible for safeguarding their account credentials and for configuring messaging, catalogue, and automation settings appropriately.

12. International Transfers

Techturf Technologies operates from India and the United Kingdom and may use service providers in other countries. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take steps intended to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with applicable law (for example contractual safeguards).

13. Your Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Access personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of personal information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request data portability
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority

To exercise these rights, contact us at info@techturftechnologies.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

If you are an end user who messaged a business using dmcart or another Techturf platform, please contact that business first — they typically control your personal data in that context. We will assist our customers with valid requests as required by law and contract.

14. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are directed to businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent). If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

15. Third-Party Links and Services

Our website or platform may link to third-party sites or integrate third-party services (including Meta and WhatsApp). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies before providing personal information. Product-specific pages for dmcart may be available at www.dmcart.uk.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Material changes may be communicated via the website or other reasonable means. Continued use of the website or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy, except where applicable law requires additional consent.
